My car wasn't starting consistently. It would start one day then the next it wouldn't even turn over. I paid to get my car towed to EP auto repair. I told them that my car wasn't starting and I would like them to diagnose/repair the issue. I also told them that my car was recently bought used and I wanted a full inspection done because there were 'check engine' lights on. They called me after having my car for 1 day. They said it started just fine and everything was OK. They billed me $100 to charge my battery and not do a single thing to my car. They knew full damn well that my battery was over 5 years old. Looking at it, the battery was bulging with acid residue all over the electrodes. The car battery CLEARLY needed to be replaced. They never gave my car a thorough inspection, they just pretended like I hadn't asked for one. I left EP auto with my 'check engine' light still on... even after they told me the vehicle was running "just fine". Can you guess what happened the day after I took my car home? It wouldn't start... *gasp* I took my battery to an auto parts store and they tested it and charged it for FREE. Then I took my car to another auto repair shop and they actually did a full inspection on my car for a fraction of what ep auto charged me. I replaced the battery myself and now my vehicle is actually running reliably. Thanks for taking my money and making my fix my own damn car. I don't care how busy you guys are during the holidays. If someone agrees to pay you to fix their vehicle you should be thorough. I guarantee you these guys didn't bother to touch my car after they barely charged my derelict battery.
