These guys are the very best! We have been taking our cars to EP Auto for several years now and trust them almost implicitly. We have been so impressed with their friendly service, honesty, and quality work that even when we moved up to Draper for a year or two we would still drive down to Orem any time we needed car repairs. Our latest car problem happened just a week ago as we were driving from Santaquin to Provo. Our alternator gave out as we were passing through Payson. We found it was cheaper to have it towed from Payson to Orem and have Eric and his team work on it than it would have been to have the mechanic just down the road from where it broke down do the work. They are very busy and prefer to work by appointment, but even with drop-ins they are very fast. Our car was totally fixed in less than 24 hours despite not having an appointment.

I took my 2009 Honda Pilot in due to rattling in the front-end. Thought it may be a bushing issue, which Honda said could run $1K. EP correctly diagnosed as needing replacement sway bars, and fixed the issue for a very reasonable price in 1/2 day. They also checked my shocks, which had been recommended for replacement by another shop, and said that they were just fine.

I like this place but they are trying to do away with bringing your own parts. It bugs me. Being poor bringing them in is the only way to afford it. They let me do it tho and I was grateful. They did the work within a reasonable time and were willing to get me a lower price in a few ways. I am not sure if they will let me bring anymore parts in but I hope so. I understand that they need to make a living. I am planning to go back soon to make lemonade. Thanks EP auto.

Peterson, thanks for the review, we appreciate it! It is true that we are phasing out repairs with customer supplied parts. While a factor in our policy is the fact that we don't make anything on the parts when they're customer supplied that's not the main reason. We've had a real problem with customer supplied parts being of very low quality. When these parts fail, sometimes very quickly, and we can't warranty it customers are often upset at us for this, even when informed of this in advance. So it's a policy mainly about quality control and customer satisfaction. We understand people have different situations and we try to work with everyone to provide quality service, repair and maintenance, since that is our main goal. So that being said, we will continue to make exceptions if the circumstance is warranted. Thanks again for taking the time to review us and for your business!
