Sister-in-law took a vehicle in on my dime for new tires and brake pads. They did a good job on the work and were very quick, however overcharged by about $200 for the brake pad work. They also used very expensive pads for some reason. Claimed it took over an hour, to 1.5 hrs, per axle to swap out the pads (even though the tires were already off or should’ve been off if they were doing the work efficiently). The invoice stated they replaced the rotors, bearings and packed with grease, when they did not. The immediate response on the phone was that they were referring to using grease on the brake pads & rotor to prevent noise, which is a huge no-go, and changed their story about working on the rotors without checking with the mechanic. I’m pretty certain they miss billed us for replacing the rotors. Good quick work, but I would be extremely thorough with any agreements before having them work on your car, and watch for overcharging.
